What the role entails
- Develop and maintain shaders and other programmed graphical effects
- Develop and maintain software package that assists with integrating these effects into web-based games
- Create and maintain documentation about software that was developed
- Assist with optimization improvements to rendering system
- Optimize performance of graphical solutions
- Assist and tutor game developers in integrating said solutions
What we ask of you
- At least 3 years of experience with graphics programming
- Working knowledge of WebGL and GLSL
- Understanding of game optimization techniques
- Proficiency in Typescript
- Solid English language skills
Preferences
- Experience with game development
- Understanding of the PixiJS rendering system and how it ties into WebGL
- Ability to self-organize
- Previous work on an API or software package (esp. Node packages)
- Good eye for optimization possibilities
- Experience with optimizing for low-end hardware
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- WebGPU knowledge
- Creativity and good eye for aesthetics
