Social Media Specialist

Our Marketing department is growing and we are looking for new talent to join us on our journey!

As a Social Media Specialist for Yolo Entertainment (covering both Sportsbet.io & Bitcasino.io), your main focus will be creating and managing dynamic sports-related content across various social media and community platforms. You will be involved in every aspect of content creation, from ideation and writing to planning and posting, working in close coordination with the social media and content teams, and reporting to the Head of Social Media.

This role requires a genuine passion for sports, along with a solid understanding of iGaming, sports betting & crypto industries, with the goal of elevating the online presence and engagement of our brands.

Your daily tasks will be 

• Social Content Ideation - Developing creative ideas for engaging social media content and tailor social content strategies to align with the brand’s focus;
• Social Content Writing - Crafting compelling and high-quality copies for various social media and community platforms, including but not limited to, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Telegram, and Reddit;
• Content Plan Coordination - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute a content calendar centered around major (sports) events and news, ensuring consistent and timely posting;
• Posting - Managing the scheduling and posting of content across all relevant platforms, monitoring engagement and interactions;
• Live Sports Coverage - Manage the scheduling and real-time posting of content during live sports events, actively engaging with audiences and fostering in-the-moment interactions;
• Partner Engagement - Support partner-related activities on Social Media, such as those involving Newcastle United & Hull City;
• Community Engagement - Facilitating and coordinating online conversations with followers, responding to queries and engaging with the community;
• Competitions Management - Organizing and managing social media competitions, ensuring they run smoothly from conception to execution, and track performance and engagement metrics to gauge success and inform future competitions;
• Analytics and Reporting - Utilizing analytics tools to track KPIs, report on performance, and assess content and campaign effectiveness;
• Ensuring optimal communication and follow-up with incoming queries and opportunities through social media channels;
• Ensuring all communication materials are compliant with Social Responsibility Guidelines and regulatory guidelines;
• Identifying, interpreting, and capitalizing on existing or new social media trends, influencers, tools, and applications;
• Following up on decisions set by the Head of Social Media.

What we expect from you

• Work experience in editorial and campaign-driven social media and content creation on owned and earned social media channels, preferably in the iGaming industry.
• A deep passion for sports, with knowledge of the sports betting, casino, and/or cryptocurrency industries.
• Knowledge and familiarity with major social media platforms and social media management tools.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative mindset with a knack for developing engaging content.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret social media metrics and
• analytics.
• Experience with project management and working with third parties on
• deadline-oriented projects.
• Ability to solve customer-oriented queries.

As a Social Media Specialist, you may need to work outside of standard hours, including weekday evenings and weekends, particularly during live sports events. Overtime is always mutually agreed upon and compensated with free time afterward.
