The Head of Engineering will be responsible for leading and managing the engineering teams, driving the technical strategy, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services. This role requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of engineering principles, a strategic mindset, and the ability to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
What You Will Do
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams.
- Develop and execute the engineering strategy aligned with the company’s goals.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects.
- Implement and optimise engineering processes and best practices to improve efficiency and quality.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor and improve engineering performance.
- Collaborate with other departments, including Product and Marketing, to ensure seamless integration of engineering efforts with business needs.
- Manage engineering budgets, resources, and vendor relationships.
- Plan and execute hiring strategies to grow the engineering team as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing and scaling engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development and architecture.
- Experience with cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and agile methodologies.
Bonus-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Java/Kotlin.
- Passionate about board games.
