Junior Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant, based in Malta, to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks. The main responsibilities include keeping financial records updated and supporting with the day to day administration of the Finance function.

 This role reports to the Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

· Perform general accounting duties.

· Reconcile various elements of Financial Statements.

· Support in Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables as required.

· Support in Accounting for Cash & Cash equivalents.

· Assistance in Month-end Closing, including Accruals & Prepayments.

· Assistance in Audit Procedures.

· Assistance to rest of Finance team as required.

· Other Ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements

· Sound knowledge of English language is necessary.

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

· Experience in payroll is considered a plus.

· In the process of completing an Accounting Qualification such as ACCA.

· Competency in MS Office, especially MS Excel and accounting software.

· Accuracy and attention to detail.

· Aptitude for numbers.

· Well organized, flexible and a team worker.

· Willingness to learn on the job and manage their own processes
